Most of the classes are organized in a very dark studio in the presence of just a few candles. The instructors are extremely friendly and will motivate you to work harder. I also got to meet fellow like minded people who are determined to stay fit. The overall atmosphere is very positive. Everyone just wants to stay fit, there is no competition between anyone.
2. Complete workout:
Each class is for around 45 minutes, and they will cover all the important muscles of your body within that time. There will be some high speed cycling. After that, there may be some sprints. They also make you do arm exercises on the bike. The classes generally ends with a stretch. The process is very systematic. It is not just about the legs, the entire body is getting benefited. Initially, it is very tiring. In the first class, I sweated like anything. But with time, I became comfortable.
3. Losing weight:
It is a great exercise if you want to lose weight. 45 minutes of cycling everyday will help you to burn around 700 calories everyday. Before joining the classes, I was not in the best shape. I gained some weight because of sitting long hours in my desk job. I was slightly nervous before attending the first class. But the SoulCycle classes are for everyone. You don’t be perfectly fit before joining it. After a few classes, you will realize the difference and you will feel a lot more confident about yourself.
4. Extremely fun way of staying fit:
The classes were extremely fun. You won’t even realize how quickly the 45 minute goes by. They play music, on the basis of which you need to cycle. If the pace of the music increases, you need to cycle fast. Again, if the pace is slow, you also need to slow down a little.
I got to meet a lot of different kinds of people in the SoulCycle classes. The instructors may be professional athletes. Some of them have even left their jobs to pursue their interests. Their stories and their journey motivated me very much, and made me more determined to work hard.
