24 month update
My sweet little girl is 2 years old now! I can't believe how quickly she's grown into a walkin', talkin', smilin', girl! She's a sweetie for sure. Bailey LOVES her family, all her siblings and her mama and daddy. Her first year or so, she only had eyes for mama, and she's still a mama's girl but she REALLY loves her sisters and brother.

Bailey is finally starting to talk a little bit more. She can say all of her colors and almost knows them by sight. She knows purple, orange and blue. We are still working on the others, but she's getting close! She can count to 10, with a little bit of help. She's saying soo much I couldn't even tell you how many new words she says each day.

My bear is still breastfed, I would say 85%. She nurses about 6 times a day, give or take. She is starting to take in more solids and will drink a little from a sippy cup, but not much!! She loves her mama's milk! I'm still enjoying our nursing relationship, for the most part, so I am still planning to let her SELF WEAN. We shall see when that day comes!!

Let's see, what else, Bailey LOVES BoohBah... this crazy English television show on PBS. I mean she goes crazy for it. I got a TIVO for Christmas and have 5 or 6 episodes tivo'd so she can watch it in the morning when she wakes up and after her nap. She looooves it.

She loves our cocker spaniel puppy, Libby. They go back and forth with each other... they are about the same size, so they have fun chasing each other around. Too bad Libby has sharp teeth, we have to keep an eye on that, because they both are capable of doing some damage to each other!

20months
Well time is flying. Before we know it Bailey will be two years old!! I always think back to the previous year... last year she was barely even sitting up at this time. She was celebrating her "firsts" of everything, now it is her "seconds". Second Halloween is upcoming. She is going to be a princess. I've had the costume since the beginning of September, I hope it's warm enough! I am going to embellish just a little bit.

Bailey is still on the wild side. She doesn't sit and watch cartoons yet. A year ago, she would watch The Wiggles or Baby Einstein for an hour at a time. We must have scarred her! LOL. She loved those shows back then. If anything, The Wiggles taught her to dance. Holy wiggles, she is a dancin' fiend. She loves to shake her booty!

She loves to do pretty much anything her older sissy is doing. They are beginning to fight because Bailey wants so much to do whatever McKenzie is doing. But those two are so close that it melts my heart every day. They run through the house together, hide together, play outside together. They are two peas in a pod, for sure.

Favorites would be coloring, playing with her babies, kitchen stuff, her little cousin Lane, going up and down the stairs and playing in Ashlyn & Kenzie's room, feeding the horses, and still #1 favorite thing is mama's milk. She is 100% breastfed at 20 months and no end in sight. The girl doesn't eat anything. We do try but I can tell you I am not enthused anymore -- she dumps EVERYTHING on my floor and it's just incredibly frustrating! She does like things like fruit snacks, cheese crackers, cookies, and such, but no meals of any kind.

17 month update
I can't believe my baby girl is almost a year and a half old already! Time is flying!  She is full of spunk and character. Definitely her own little person. She doesn't sit still for more than a few moments at a time. She used to love Baby Einstein and The Wiggles and now she wants nothing to do with either. From the day she became mobile, she is investigating everything. She loves to play with her siblings... and copies everything we do. She can point to all her body parts now, I thought she'd never get it for awhile there! She has learned to climb off my bed, so there is no more putting her to sleep on her own... she just climbs right down and joins us in the living room. She still doesn't eat much. She will eat junky stuff - cheetos and candy that she picks up after the older kids, but not much of anything else. She still nurses 10 or so times per day, acrobat style... on her head or twirling around... she's such a quack! Our baby girl...

Bailey is learning new words here and there but her vocabulary is pretty much stuck at mama, dada, cards, totos (cheetos), bash (bath) and hi. She will attempt to say the older kids' names but I can't quite tell who she is talking about - so it's nothing consistent. She did say uhoh tonight (over and over again - have yet to find the "uhoh" lol). And it seems like she is trying to say "words" more, instead of just her own little language.

16 months
At almost 16 months old, Bailey is full of personality. She dances, she jabbers (though not many understandable words!), she is curious as a cat (into everything), she loves to take baths, she is hating wearing clothes even on cool days! She does NOT like TV, she used to sit and watch the Wiggles forever but once she started walking, she does NOT slow down. So busy all the time! She is very much a mama's girl. She is still breastfeeding, only other thing she even gives a second look to is CHEESE or HOT DOGS. She is sooo picky. But, she's healthy and that is ALL that matters!

13 months
Bailey has taken her first few steps, added a few words to her vocabulary ("quack quack" and attempts at all her older sib's names). She is becoming alot more vocal and is always jabbering away. She tries to add her two cents to every conversation.

She adores the Wiggles and will usually sit and watch them for a good while. She is a BIG mess maker. Gets into everything!! She loves to clear the coffee table. Everything just goes to the floor but she doesn't like anything setting on it. It's pretty funny.

Now that mommy has wheels again, Bailey is getting more used to her carseat. She used to hate that thing.. we went to Seattle this past month and did fairly well considering she spent more time in her carseat in that one day than she has total in about 6 months!

Still not eating much. She's still eating at mom's for every meal and snacks in between. But she does love cheese and some breads. Anything cheesey, mac n cheese, cheez crackers, goldfish crackers, etc. She also LOVES chocolate as we discovered on Easter. Anything sweet I guess. Just like her mama and papa.

Favorite game right now would have to be "beep beep", where she pinches noses and says "be be". And, if you stick your finger out she will put her nose to your finger, pretty cute.

12 months
Bailey is growing so much and so quickly. It seems she is doing something new each day. She plays pat a cake, that's her absolute favorite thing to do. She says "pat pat pat" when we "clap" and "roll roll roll" when we "roll". It's funny because "rolling" is not easy for a baby I don't think, it takes some coordination to move those wrists the right directions. She does it perfectly! She loves giving kisses. She tilts her chin WAY UP high and puckers up so sweetly. She'll give one to almost anyone that asks, BUT she is still very attached to mama and doesn't go to very many other people!

Bailey still nurses 6 to 8 times per day and has pretty much gotten herself down to one to two naps per day and is usually in bed for the night by 9:30 or so (still cosleeping with mama). She gets up early with Daddy for "bonding time" and Mommy gets to sleep in. I love listening to them play and giggle. Bailey used to not be too sure of her daddy, and I can see how much her love for him has grown in the last few months.

We've discovered she doesn't like dogs, but is fascinated by cats. She HATES heights and being thrown up in the air. McKenzie used to LOVE this. In fact, all my older kids did. I still play "airplane" with them from time to time. I'm amazed at how strong my legs are to push my almost 12 yr old up in the air with them!

Other than Bailey is just her joyful little self. She's developing a very fun personality and we all love her so much!

11 months
Bailey is completely mobile. We thought for awhile, she was going to skip crawling altogether, but just after her 11 month birthday she started getting up on all fours and cruising! I think she really wanted to keep up with her older siblings. She loves to chase after them. Now she can almost keep up.

She pulls up to the coffee table, the couch, pretty much anything that she can reach from her knees. Such a big girl. She has bumped her poor head several times but it really doesn't phase her. She thinks she can just let go and walk around, but her legs aren't quite there yet. She is still pretty shaky. That's okay, slow down a little bit Little Miss!

She still doesn't eat much other than Mama's Milk. She is very attached to mommy. This makes me happy of course, that she and I are bonded so closely. But, I know she needs to be able to be left with others at times. She is starting to warm up to Daddy really well.

Bailey has 7 teeth, going for an 8th and should be going for her 1 year check up in a couple of weeks. She's a big girl but petite in comparison to Mckenzie at this age. Probably because Bailey doesn't eat much solid food yet. She likes hot dogs, mac n cheese and sandwiches. But she usually only takes a couple of bites before throwing it off her high chair. I have pumped and tried juice bottles/sippy cups. She wants none of that. Just mama!

10 months
Bailey is a beginning crawler, scooching around doing the army crawl (crawling on all four's as of 1/8/04). She gets where she wants to go and has no reason to get up on all fours yet. She has 5 teeth, got her 5th one on 12/15/03. She learned to say Grandpa "BAAPA", and owie. She also has learned to clap and loves to grab other people's hands and make them clap. So cute. She also waves bye bye when someone says "bye bye". Her favorites this month are paper, the knots on mommy's hoodies, her airtivity table she got for Christmas was a BIG hit, the balls from her FP aquarium fish bowl, her toes (she loves to hold her legs up in the air!) and of course, as always, mama's milk. She also loves mac n cheese and doesn't really tolerate much else besides cheerios.

Just a quick weigh in!

13 months 21 lbs & 29 3/4"
Head cir. was 47 1/2 cm. My girl's got a big head! Bailey had fun playing in the lobby before our name was called. We had the whole place to ourselves for awhile, I think we were Dr. E's first appointment of the day :o) The fun started as soon as we got in the room though, she HATED getting on the scale. She just didn't know what that thing was! But she did sit there long enough to be weighed. The measurements wasn't exactly a piece of cake either. Wowzers. And we still had the "hard" part to get through. McKenzie also had a very LATE 3 year checkup so Bailey did get to see her go through all the pokes and prods first. Bailey is growing perfectly, although now that I'm updating her website, I realized she hasn't gained an oz in 3 months. She's 30% for weight and 50% for length. Big difference from her always above 95% sister (for both categories). Bear-Bear got 4 shots... 30 seconds later you would not have known. Overall, great checkup. Wasn't urged to wean her, was told keep up the good work and we are all set til 18 months and no more shots til Kindergarten.

10 months 21 lbs even

My baby girl got 5 shots today. She was a super trooper girl.. she's healthy as can
be and in 90% for height and 85% for weight... perfectly proportionate. Dr said we could start solids.
I told him we did but Bailey seems to think Mamas Milk is best, so she accepts nothing else! That's ok

4 mos 15lb 4oz & 25 1/4"
She got 4 shots today. She didn't even cry til the last one. 90% for all measurements.
Right on target and healthy as can be!

2 mos 12lb11oz & 23.5"
Head measured 40.5cm. She's growing like a weed. 90% for all measurements.
She got 5, yes 1-2-3-4-5 shots!! Poor sweet baby. She's healthy with the exception of a tiny cold. 

2weeks: 8lb 7oz and 21"
Head measures 37cm. Looking healthy - belly button healing nicely and she got her heel poked.
Not even a squawk out of her!

2 days: 7lb 3oz
2 day checkup at the hospital. We miss that place already!
