Easy Sausage Stuffing
Stuffing would be the very last thing I'd ever eat at that Thanksgiving
dinner table. I remember sitting at the table when I was really young and
gagging it down. I hated everything about it. I decided to try it again
about 2 years ago when my dad's girlfriend made it, she made it with
sausage in it. It was delicious!
INGREDIENTS
1-1/4 pounds Bob Evans or
OwensŪ Savory Sage or Original Recipe Sausage Roll
1-1/4 large onion, diced
3-3/4 stalks celery, diced
1-1/4 (14 ounce) packages cubed
stuffing
1-1/4 teaspoons poultry
seasoning
3 cups and 2 tablespoons
chicken broth
1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons
melted butter
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, over medium
heat, crumble sausage. Add onion and celery and cook, stirring
occasionally until sausage is brown. In a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish,
place cubed stuffing. Add sausage mixture. Sprinkle with poultry
seasoning. Pour broth and butter over the top and toss to combine. Cover.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
